If tuition is unpaid 10 days after due date, a $10 late fee is applied to your account. There is a $35 fee for all returned checks. Tuition is on a monthly basis regardless of absences and number of weeks in a month. You will not be charged for extra lessons in a long month as these serve as make-ups for the holidays observed. Alternate/Make-up classes may be set up for absences due to illness, sports, or personal reasons.
Classes will not be pro-rated for any holidays observed. If a student begins classes during the middle of the month, the missed classes will be pro-rated.
If an account becomes more than 60 days past due, we will no longer allow the student(s) to continue taking classes until this balance is paid in full.
If your child is unable to make a class due to a known conflict, please notify the studio in writing two weeks in advance; legitimate emergencies are not the same thing as known conflicts and therefore a written note is waived, but we do appreciate any notifications and absence explanations as soon as possible. Habitual absences are looked down on and will be addressed individually, unless an agreement is made between a parent and teacher. Frequent absences and lack of punctuality will have a negative impact on the student’s progress and may jeopardize their performance participation. In most cases, we will allow make-ups during the same semester for any missed classes in age and level appropriate classes.
If a student decides to stop lessons, a written note is required two weeks in advance. Your account will be charged for classes up until the date of the notice that was given, plus the additional two weeks, whether he or she attends class or not. If a child is injured and cannot attend class, a doctor's note is required. If the student must stop lessons because of the injury, a doctor's note is used in lieu of the two-week notice and payment would end immediately.
